Please note that we may use organic beeswax when we are making our products, so if you are vegan and would prefer not to use beeswax, please let us know, as we have alternatives we can use in our balms instead.

Setting the scene with pink roses evokes the idea of a natural and organic product.. This could indicate greenwashing in skincare.

Key points:

  • Informative and fun sessions
  • Small group size – a maximum of 10 participants in a session
  • Learn new skills and build on existing knowledge
  • Take home your own hand-made products

What do I need to know?

This is a taster workshop, so if you are interested in making your own skincare products, we offer further workshops such as SK1: Introduction to making organic skincare products, which will enable you to safely make a range skincare products for yourself and your family.

However, there are important considerations and legal requirements for selling products to the public, so you will need to learn about and adhere to these regulations. If you are thinking about making products to sell, consider booking a place on SK2: From crafter to entrepreneur: Making and selling your own products to the public.

What do I need to bring?

We will provide all the equipment and ingredients you will need for the day. We have small tables to work on and there are ample chairs for resting or chatting at break times.

You are welcome to bring a packed lunch, or you can visit one of our local cafes. We will provide refreshments, so please let us know if you have any allergies, intolerances or dislikes.

We would advise that you wear comfortable shoes and clothes, as we may be standing, stirring and mixing for a while. We also recommend that you bring an apron as we will be working with oils, so don’t wear your favourite clothes!

We endeavour to ensure that all our workshops are fully inclusive, so if you have any concerns about your ability to participate in our workshops, please contact us on before you book, so we can discuss your queries.
